3: Bawat Bahay Magkakasama sa Kaunlaran fro Region was launched last December
2, 2022 at the J & V Hotel and Resort, City of San Fernando, La Union. It
was attended by Asec. Marites M. Maristela, Office of the Assistant Secretary
for Luzon Affairs – DSWD Central Office, Ms. Marlene Febes D. Peralta, Assistant
Regional Director for Operations, Ms. Marie Angela S. Ongpalan, Regional
Director, Ms. Anniely J. Ferrer, OIC- Assistant RD for Administration and other
personalities.
Listahanan,
the National Household Targeting System for Poverty Reduction (NHTS-PR) was
established by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) to
target who and where the poor are. The comprehensive database serves as a basis
of selecting beneficiaries for social protection programs, projects and social
activities of different agencies, like the LGU and academe, for the benefit of
the people. Results from the third assessment conducted in 2019 identified 184,263
poor household among the 973,255 assessed households in Region 1.
In the said
event, the partner agencies of the DSWD were given Plaque of Appreciation In
recognition for their efforts in providing community projects thru utilizing
the importance of the Listahanan.
DSWD offers a
lot of services for the benefit of the community thus it is essential for the people
to be informed about it and the series of media blasts of the agency made it
possible for the people to be aware of the services that are for their benefit.
