BAGANI: THE GOLDEN WARRIOR
Mister Continental World Philippines 2026 Glendon Gonzales Jr.
Inspired by the Bagani, the revered warrior tradition of Mindanao, this costume celebrates the spirit of courage, strength, honor, and ancestral pride. The rich gold and brown palette symbolizes the warrior’s bravery, connection to the earth, and the richness of Indigenous heritage.
The design transforms traditional warrior elements into a powerful, regal, and contemporary silhouette, featuring bold sculptural details and intricate patterns.Every golden accent represents valor and leadership, while the deep brown tones evoke the land, ancestry, and roots from which the Bagani spirit rises.
Bagani: The Golden Warrior is a tribute to the enduring strength of the Filipino warrior—fearless in battle, noble in spirit, and proud of his heritage.

HISTORY IS MADE IN BALI — THE PHILIPPINES CLAIMS THE INAUGURAL LIVE MISS INTERGLOBAL CROWN!
HISTORY IS MADE IN BALI — THE PHILIPPINES CLAIMS THE INAUGURAL LIVE MISS INTERGLOBAL CROWN!
Congratulations, Miss Philippines Margarette
Siat Briton, for making history as the first-ever Miss
Interglobal Queen of the LIVE edition, capturing the coveted Miss
Interglobal 2026 crown in Bali, Indonesia!
A truly remarkable international victory for
the Philippines. With her grace, confidence, beauty, intelligence, and
determination, Margarette has brought immense pride to the Philippine
pageantry community and written a new chapter in the country’s continuing
legacy on the global stage.
Congratulations to ALV Pageant Circle and Sir
Arnold Vegafria for bringing home another prestigious
international crown for the Philippines. Your unwavering dedication, vision,
and commitment to Philippine pageantry continue to produce queens who proudly
carry the Philippine flag on the world stage.
And congratulations to the Miss Interglobal
Organization for the successful inaugural staging of the Miss
Interglobal 2026 Finals in Bali, Indonesia — a significant milestone in the
evolution of the competition into a live international pageant.
A NEW
ERA FOR MISS INTERGLOBAL
The Miss Interglobal journey began as a virtual
pageant in Lagos, Nigeria, in 2021, with Thailand’s Nachita Jantana
initially crowned the first titleholder. The title was subsequently assumed by
Filipina Miriam Damoah, marking the pageant’s early chapter in its
virtual format.
With the organization’s transition to a physical
international grand final in Bali, Indonesia, Miss Interglobal has entered
an exciting new era — transforming from its virtual beginnings into a live
global celebration of beauty, culture, and international sisterhood.
And now, Margarette Siat Briton stands
at the forefront of that new era.
She is not simply another titleholder.
She is the FIRST QUEEN of the LIVE Miss
Interglobal era.
MARGARETTE SIAT BRITON
MISS INTERGLOBAL 2026
The first queen of a new global chapter.
From the Philippines to Bali, history has
been made.

SALI: Culture, Arts and Heritage Research Forum
I still remember this meaningful seminar last year—SALI: Culture, Arts and Heritage Research Forum, organized by the Provincial Tourism Office of the Provincial Government of La Union on August 27–28, 2025
The two-day forum brought together individuals who shared a common passion for preserving, understanding, and celebrating the rich culture, arts, heritage, and history of La Union. It was more than just a seminar—it was a space for research, dialogue, knowledge-sharing, and a renewed appreciation of who we are and where we came from.
That is why it is truly sad that this kind of meaningful forum did not happen this year.
I strongly believe that if we want to build a great present and a better future, we must first learn to give value to our past. Our heritage and culture are not simply stories of yesterday—they are part of our identity. They remind us of where we came from, the struggles and achievements of our ancestors, and the foundations they built for us to enjoy the present we have today.
We cannot move forward without understanding the journey that brought us here.
To give value to our heritage is to give value to our identity. To preserve our culture is to honor those who came before us. And to learn from our past is to help build a stronger future for the generations yet to come.
I hope that forums like SALI: Culture, Arts and Heritage Research Forum will continue and be sustained in the coming years. We need more spaces where our researchers, cultural workers, artists, students, historians, tourism stakeholders, and communities can come together to rediscover, document, protect, and celebrate the priceless heritage of La Union.
Because our past is not something we should leave behind.
It is something we should remember, preserve, and carry with us as we build the future.

The Cory Quirino Era: Six Years, Six Placements in Miss World
The Cory Quirino Era: Six Years, Six Placements in Miss World
Did you know that when the Miss World Philippines franchise was under Cory Quirino, every single one of her queens successfully placed at the international Miss World competition?
Cory Quirino took over the Miss World Philippines franchise in 2011, marking the beginning of a remarkable six-year journey from 2011 to 2016.
And what a record it was:
👑 2011 – Gwendoline Ruais
🥈 1st Runner-Up – Miss World 2011
👑 2012 – Queenierich Rehman
🏅 Top 15 – Miss World 2012
👑 2013 – Megan Young
👑 MISS WORLD 2013 – The Philippines' first Miss World crown
👑 2014 – Valerie Weigmann
🏅 Top 25 – Miss World 2014
👑 2015 – Hillarie Parungao
🏅 Top 10 – Miss World 2015
👑 2016 – Catriona Gray
🏅 Top 5 – Miss World 2016
From Gwendoline's 1st Runner-Up finish in her very first year, to Megan Young winning the country's first Miss World crown, followed by consistent placements from Queenierich, Valerie, Hillarie and Catriona, the Cory Quirino era certainly left a significant mark in Philippine pageantry.
Six years. Six queens. Six Miss World placements.
That is a legacy worth remembering. 👑🇵🇭

The Philippines has its second Miss Supranational! ✨🇵🇭
Ma. Katrina "Kat" Llegado is a Filipina beauty queen, Philippine Air Force reservist, and Financial Management graduate from De La Salle University. Her pageant journey is a testament to perseverance and determination—from being crowned Reina Hispanoamericana Filipinas 2019 in Miss World Philippines and finishing as 5th Runner-Up at Reina Hispanoamericana 2019, to placing 2nd Runner-Up at Miss Universe Philippines 2022 and reaching the Top 6 in 2025, she earned the Miss Supranational Philippines title, setting the stage for the biggest achievement of her career.
The Philippines has its second Miss
Supranational!

Ma. Katrina Llegado has been crowned Miss Supranational 2026, making history as the Philippines' second titleholder and the first-ever Supra Queen to wear the iconic Fioletowa Crown.
This remarkable victory further strengthens the Philippines' legacy in international pageantry and marks a proud moment that Filipinos around the world will celebrate for years to come.
During the SupraModel she received a lot of bashing when she did not enter the top 2 per continent but she emerged victorious when she won the crown in the finale night so it is a learning lesson not to underestimate the Filipina queen.
Congratulations, Kat! Maraming salamat sa napakagandang laban at sa muling pagtaas ng bandila ng Pilipinas.
Your triumph is an inspiration to the nation!

Ibit's Farm Leads Gakakan Tree Conservation Project Through Seed Donations
City of San Fernando, La Union — Ibit's Farm, led by Mr. Manuel Gurion Acosta, has
launched a Gakakan Tree Conservation Project by donating Gakakan tree
seeds to government agencies, schools, tourism stakeholders, and environmental
advocates in La Union and other parts of the Philippines.
The project aims to protect and preserve
the Gakakan tree, a native species that is becoming harder to find in many
areas. By growing and planting more Gakakan trees today, the project hopes to
prevent the species from disappearing and ensure that future generations can
still enjoy its many environmental benefits.
This initiative is Mr. Acosta's personal
contribution in support of the environmental programs of the Association of
Tourism Industries and Networks in La Union (ATINLU) and the Chamber of
Commerce and Industry of La Union (CCILU). It also encourages everyone—from
government agencies and schools to businesses and local communities—to work
together in protecting the environment.
The donated seeds will be grown by the
recipient organizations before being planted in forests, watersheds, schools,
parks, farms, and other suitable areas. As the trees grow, they will help
improve biodiversity, prevent soil erosion, absorb carbon dioxide, and make
communities more resilient to climate change.
Mr. Acosta believes that protecting native
trees is everyone's responsibility.
"Every Gakakan tree we plant today helps
protect our environment and gives future generations the chance to enjoy this
valuable native tree. Conservation starts with each one of us."
ATINLU and CCILU welcomed the project, saying
it is a great example of how the agriculture, tourism, business, education, and
government sectors can work together to care for the environment.

Before judging Gwendoline Meliz Soriano, know the facts.
Toxicity in Pageantry:
Before judging Gwendoline Meliz Soriano, know the facts.
Long before she became Bb. Pilipinas International 2026, she had already founded Project Beloved PH, empowering the youth through outreach and volunteerism. She never needed a crown to serve her community because service has always been part of who she is.
Saying she is not using her platform for the country ignores the work she has already been doing even before winning a title.
Gwendoline is a beauty queen, not a political activist. No title obliges someone to speak on every issue. She has already expressed her stand against corruption, and she has every right to choose how and when to use her voice.
Instead of attacking someone who has just achieved a remarkable milestone, why not celebrate her success? We don't have to agree on everything, but we should at least be fair. Judge people based on facts—not assumptions. Sometimes, the best way to honor someone's victory is to let them enjoy it.
