Man of the Philippines Filipino Community of Germany 2018

Daniel Lascano Alcantara, 25 years old is the representative of the Filipino Community of Germany in Man of the Philippines 2018.

He was born on  June 5, 1993 in Batac City, Ilocos Norte. He opted to represent Germany as a form of giving honor to the heritage of his mother, a German descent.

He took up Bachelor of Science in Physical  Therapy since he loves science, how the body works. Daniel plays badminton, gun firings and he loves dance sports. Daniel is into modeling, but since he thinks he got  the confidence to compete with different people, cultures, he must not miss the chance to enter the world of pageantry. Daniel was a candidate of Mister Earth 2015,  awarded as Baguio's Commercial Model 2014 for Baguio'ss Ultimate Models, Model of Who What Wear brand 2014, featured as one of the 100 DC models for DC Magazine 2015,  Candidate of Mr. and Miss Cordillera 2016.
Daniel is  very ambitious, so he encouraged himself to join the Man of teh Philippines 2018. Director Gilbert Dickenson saw his page (Baguio's Commercial Model) and told him he have the potential in this industry and encouraged him to join Man of the Philippines, without having a second thought, Daniel said Yes and now the rest is history as he now part of the first edition of the pageant. His
inspirations would be his family, but depends on what situations it might be, for instance, since the Man of the Philippines 2018 would be a very challenging competition, he keep on inspiring himself to deal with it, because he knows that there will always be a room for improvement.
His advocacy in joining the pageant is HIV/AIDS awareness. His hometown of Batac City is very well-know because of the Empanada and Garlic Longganisa. And one thing is for sure, "Home of the great leaders - Marcoses".
He considers his experiences as a lesson. Yes he had some not-so-mistakes / misunderstanding but because of what had happened, he can learn from it and be able to mature and will never do the same mistakes again. Daniel would really expect himself to learn how to deal with other people, specially that they are coming from different cultures. How to deal with every person how they react to situations. To not judge others by just looking on their physical appearances. So, he is really excited to deal with them and he would be happy to listen of what they gonna tell him about their lives /cultures. According to him it's really happy to meet new people. It's not about that they will adjust for you, but it's a two-way process to understand each other. According to Daniel, you will see a smile on his face where ever he is, some people thinks he is cocky, but not since he is confident, completely different, and the sweetest, ever. People talk a lot about him, why? He wish he knew. It's his life, He'll do what he wants with it. So he suggests people to stop hating since the effect it has on him, it makes him just giggle. He don't let people tells him what to do nor control him. He is not someone you want mess with. He is a lot stronger than what people think. He is trustworthy and loyal. Daniel is a person who fight for what he believe. He got a great personality. So he says that he is not like everyone else, but then he wants to be like everyone else.

As message to his supporters, thank you may not be enough and he really appreciate the support and love, people are giving him since they are his strength in this journey! He aims not will to fail  his supporters whom he truly loves.

Man of the Philippines Nasugbu, Batangas 2018

Man of the Philippines Nasugbu, Batangas 2018

A 20 years old school Teacher/Secretary is the delegate of Nasugbu, Batangass for Man of the Philippines 2018. Ronald Flores was born last November 27, 1997 in Nasugbu, and he believes that teaching is the noblest profession and he wanted to help the children to achieve high quality of education, and to achieve high quality education, and to secure mold the students to be a better and responsible member of the society and to assure that we have a great future., thus he pursued teaching as a profession.

Ronald is into volleyball, scrabble and table tennis as a form of relaxation.
Man of the Philippines 2018 is his first ever national pageant because he had only been joining school pageants, and holder of various title, he received awards of Mr. STI Sportfest, Lakan ng STI, and 3 consecutive yrs Mr. Education. Those experience had led him to join pageants with the support of his  friends and family. His  handler told him that there was a pageant that promotes Integrity, Nationalism and Advocacy and he was encouraged to join since Ronald wants to stand to use this one of a kind pageant to promote his advocacy. His inspiration to join this pageant first was his family, to help them and make them proud just like every son/daughter wants, second, his friends who are always there to support and help and lastly the people, especially the children that need education. His advocacy is in line with his profession, an educator, he aims to promote the importance of education for the young children, out of school youth and cultural awareness in the present generation. So far there are a lot of out of school youth that deserve a better education. He wants to help them make their dreams come true. In this generation most of the youth are not acquainted with cultural awareness. Ronald wants to stand to promote the foundation of communication that involves the ability to stand on their own and to be aware of cultural values belief and perceptions that can influence everyone's ability to navigate new experiences. according to him, With this we didn't answer only the problem of today but we can assure the betterment of the community for the future.

Ronald is form  Nasugbu, a first class Municipality in Batangas and was one of the special zone of tourism in the province of Batangas, home of Central Azucarera Don Pedro, the largest producer of sugar in the Philippines. In Presidential Decree 1520, president Ferdinand Marcos declared some areas of the municipality as a potential tourism area. Since then, Nasugbu had a tourism industry focused primarily on its beaches. Its proximity to Manila makes it a popular choice. Some economic highlights are the development of Nasugbu's agro-industrial industry (feed mills, meat processing and poultry-growing) by building more farm-to-market roads. Hiking in the mountains and virgin forests around Nasugbu is popular. One particular spot, Karakawa, is a series of multi-tiered naturally formed rock pools hewn out of the mountain. The smallest pool is about the size of a jacuzzi while the biggest measures about 25 square meters. The pools are more than 6 meters deep, and one can catch fish in the pools. At the moment, because of its rolling terrain and coastline location, agriculture (sugarcane, rice, corn, vegetables, coconut, fruits) and aquaculture are Nasugbu's main industries. It is home to the Central Azucarera Don Pedro, one of the country's largest sugar producers. Being home to one of the largest sugar milling companies of the country, the production of sweets is a significant portion of the local economy. Nasugbu is the only town in Luzon which hosts a bibingkahan (rice cake area) in its public market.[citation needed] There are at least 10 kinds of rice cakes that are found only in Nasugbu, in addition to the varieties that could be found elsewhere in the country. Many Nasugbugueños, even those who do not do much cooking, take pride in making a variety of sweets such as sweetened yam, sweetened coconut and similar products.

As of now, his best experience as a candidate of MOPH was tehre stint in Chateau Royal in Nasugbu, where the fashion Gala, the sashing ceremony and announcing as a official candidate of MOPH were held and it is the first time where all of the candidates gathered. He expects that despite of our different religion, races, believes, he still expects brotherhood, and especially a new family. He wanted to experience everything that will help us to be a real man, a man that promote equality, unity, Integrity, advocacy and most of all Nationalism. And because they molded us to be a man that possesses those characteristics, he expects a fair and clean competition. For the people that supports him, he is thankful for the trust and for everything done for him, he assures that he will do everything to surpass his best efforts for the pageant.
