Wachiraputts Supathanasiree, also known as Maris Supa from Thailand is 20 years old, stands 5'11" is curently a Business French student at Assumption University.
Maris had been working as a model, actor, English and Mathematics tutor, interpreter Thai/English/French thus it had prepared him to be a Man of the Universe.
Due to the fact that this year is the first year for Man of the Universe competition, a selection and an interview were conducted in order to find a qualified candidate to represent Thailand.
Having heard of such contest, he gave himself a chance to participate in this selection. The judges acknowledged his competency in language skills and his attitude as an affable person with potentials for this competition. In addition to those qualities mentioned, he got experiences in modeling industry and with those qualities and experiences he had been chosen to be Man of the Universe - Thailand of the year 2019.
To join a pageant, one must be well prepared physically, mentally, and ideologically. You have to be in a well shape, and you have to take a considerable amount of care of yourself. Therefore, Maris started by increasing hours and work in a gym, and get really strict on hi self-care routine. However, looks aren't everything thus Maris have to be knowledgeable of the country he is representing and the host country he is going to be participating in. That's why he knows a research is a must. Maris have never been abroad before, but he loves to read, so gathering some information and educating himself about something he never know before shouldn't be too difficult. Lastly, being in a competition is stressful, regardless of what competition it is. Maris believes that preparing your mind well will help you stay calm in overwhelming situations that you'll face throughout the event. Staying within a whelm will hugely be part of bringing to your goal.
He also acknowledge that finding sponsors is mandatory. It was one of his biggest and hardest preparations that he had gone thru. One can't simply live alone in this world, and it wouldn't hurt to help great helps from people here and there.
Maris expected nothing but greatness. He had only heard the Philippines' famous reputations of having gorgeous beaches, kind and loving people, good local food, and breath-taking scenery, but never once in his life he had seen with his own eyes. Other than those mentioned, the Philippines also is one of the countries with a really strong game in pageant industry, so he is sure that whichever pageant contest that is being held in the Philippines will be awesome, including Man of the Universe.
Maris' idea, in general, of the the Philippines is that it's one of the most beautiful countries. Moreover, the fact that it's an archipelago just adds extra essence to it. Also, because of the fare share amount of people in my life who are Filipino, he had dared to conclude that most of the Filipino would be kind and loving. The Philippines is also full of diversity in many things from physical geography to ethnic groups. There's just so much to explore within this country. It's the reason why he thinks that Man of the Universe's slogan "mankind no matter how diverse can be united" goes so swimmingly with this country's nature.
Before the pageant, he did not expect to gain anything much as this is his very first male pageant competition. He is merely looking forward to learning, experiencing, and experimenting. However, his main goal here is to show other contestants from different nations and the people of the Philippines the Thai culture. If answering this question was to be between life and death, then Maris expects to gain an acknowledgement of Thai culture and society from the people of the Philippines and the world. That would be what he expects to gain from joining Man of the Universe.
Maris loves to thank everyone for supporting him, it includes his family, friends, acquaintances, strangers and all people who had been supportive of him. Maris believes that it wouldn't have come this far if it wasn't because of their support and hospitality. He may be new in this industry but he promised each and single one of them that he won't stop learning and thriving to the top. He promised he will try hard and do his very best. and last September 6, 2019, Maris had conquered the stage of Teatro Casino, Waterfront Hotel when he wowed the hearts of the audience and the judges thus he clinched the first ever title of Man of the Universe.
