Ugu Bigyan’s Pottery Garden and Restaurant.
Augusto “Ugu” Bigyan is a person of talents. He is a pottery artist, a restaurateur, landscape artist and exterior designer. It was 1986 when he opened his home to the public and the people got to see his home which is haven for creativity. His artist’s workshop is a cluster of quaint huts, connected by brick paths, and surrounded by a lush garden. Ugu’s works are on display and are for sale. Lunch is served at his garden. Meals are served on beautiful ceramic plates and bowls.
Sir Ugu encourages people to visit his place to be able to observe and be encouraged to be a pottery craftsmen.
He had taken note that his ceramic pottery is unique since one item is different from the other since it not a machine controlled glazing so the result a unique design per item. Ugu’s Pottery is not confined into just making pots but also other stuff like wall painting, decorative items, ceramic plates and mugs and other stuff that can be made.
He noted that if there is a field trip, then dining is not allowed so reservation is indeed essential.
