Villa Escudero:
Experience the allure of Philippine country life at Villa Escudero Plantations and Resort, Tiaong, Quezon.
Villa Escudero Plantations is 800 hectares (2,000 acres) of working coconut plantation and hacienda located 10 kilometers (6.2 mi) south of San Pablo City on the border with Quezon. The plantation is in three municipalities in two provinces: San Pablo City in Laguna and the towns of Tiaong and Dolores in Quezon Province. The entrance of the resort is located just a few feet from Laguna and Quezon boundary arch. It developed an international setting as a focal point to experience Philippine culture and traditions.
It was founded in the 1880s by Don Placido Escudero and his wife Dona Claudia Marasigan. Originally planted sugarcane, the crop was converted to coconut by their son Don Arsenio Escudero in the early 1900s. A pioneering agro-industrialist, he built the country’s first working hydroelectric plant to supply his desiccated coconut factory and Villa Escudero, where he and his wife Dona Rosario Adap built in 1929.
Their children opened the estate to the public in 1981. From its humble beginnings, the resort has become a prime tourist destination for locals, overseas Filipinos and a wide array of foreign visitors to the country. It has a worldwide reputation as a showcase for the Philippines’ rich cultural heritage, offering a beguiling glimpse of its history, cuisine, dress, customs and natural beauty a mere two hours away from Manila.
Popular attractions are the Museum, man made hydro falls, cultural shows, ride of the carabao cart while the staff were singing an OPM song., heritage village, sumptuous meal enjoyed at lunch time at the man made waterfalls and a lot more. The Arsenio Escudero Hydro Electric Power Plant is one of the attractions but at the same time, a source of electricity in Villa Escudero.

The cultural show being done at Villa Escudero is performed by the staff of the resort thus making them showcase their talents as well as they earn a living with their  respective jobs.

Indeed, the visit at Villa Escudero is a en experience to behold.
