The grandparents (Lola And Lolo) are the inspiration of Mich as he joined Man of the Philippines.
Preserving Filipino culture through advocating the true family values is the advocacy of Mich. He also aims to promote Agusan del Norte, the place he represents is the northwesternmost province of Caraga Region. On June 17, 1967, upon the enactment of Republic Act No. 4979, the former province of Agusan was split into to, Agusan del Norte and Agusan del Sur. This composed of 11 municipalities namely Carmen, Nasipit, Buenavista, Cabadbaran, Tubay, RTR, Santiago, Magallanes, Jabonga, Kitcharao and Las Nieves. Butuan City is the Capital. Agusan was named after a malay word "agasan" meaning "where water flows" probably because of a mighty river that traverses the area. Early migrants from Borneo and Celebes came to the Region in Balangays or wooden boats. Nine such boats were excavated in the 70's. One dates back to 320 AD. When the time Spanish arrived, the natives were already trading with foreign merchants as evidenced by 10th century ceramics unearthed near butuan. Some historians claimed that Magellan held the first mass in the Philippines in Masao at the mouth of Agusan River Sunday 1521.
The best experience he had in joining this national male pageant is meeting new people from different places in the country where he could have in ample time collect different personality, to connect one's culture to another and bring with him this life changing experience and cascade to his fellow millenials that challenges may be out there, intimidating, yet they can grasp it with bare hands taking this competition as one of the many that he can stand out.
He aims to lean during the duration of the pageant to be more mature, he could be more responsible in all aspect and value life, know more on time management, to learn and understand more about the core of MoPh the nationalism, advocacy and integrity by all of this learning he could be able to build a good image and to be man enough to stand for our country.
Mich would like to extend his biggest thanks to all people who believed in his ability and capabilities, people who gives him the opportunity like this to represent the province of Agusan del Norte in the national stage. He hopes that they will keep their support with him throughout his journey in Man of the Philippines.
