Man of the Philippines Makati City 2018
A
long haired hunk is the representative of the Business Capital of the
Philippines, Makati City, he is the 25 years old freelance photographer, Dhon
Christer Samosa.
He
took up BS Tourism at University of the East Caloocan and loves photography
since it's one of his passions that he decided to pursue it as a fulltime job
because he gets paid doing something he love.
Man
of the Philippines 2018 is the first ever pageant of Dhon, he never thought
that he would be in one of the candidates. He claims that if he was told to be
a contestant in a pageant a year ago, he would have declined say that that
would never happen but it was one of the makeup artist, Chard Ilagan who
submitted his application for “Makati” and he was surprised that they
considered him for it. Now that he is an
official candidate, he is inspired by many on his MoPh journey but he is doing
it for himself to prove everyone and himself that he is more than a face and
that he can stand on his own two feet. He grew up in Caloocan City which he
described as a place where you could literally walk to wherever you want to go,
you don’t need to take a jeep or a tricycle and almost everyone knows who you
are.
Gender
Equality is the advocacy of Dhon and he considers that the recent MoPh Fashion
gala in Chateau Royale was his favorite MopH experience since it was his first
time to meet his fellow candidates and it was such an eye-opening experience
that it made him that much more excited and pumped for the pageant itself in
December. Thus Dhon expects to learn more about confidence since he knows that he
should already be confident since he had the guts to join a pageant as big as
this but the thing is, he have much more to learn about being confident, like
on walking on the ramp.
Dhon
had always been very thankful and humbled by the amount of people supporting him
in this journey. They are the reason why he still continue despite having many
doubts about himself, he is blessed to have a lot of supporters and it doesn’t
fail to always amaze him. He hopes to never let them down and pray that he makes them proud to call him
their Man of the Philippines.
