Catwalk Model discovery
Ricky Hao Jr., a 6 footer , 19
years old hunk from Lipa City, Batangas, was a participant of the first ever
Catwalk Philippines 2018.
He was born last November 20,
1998 in Fabella Hospoital in Manila, he is currently a 3rd year Bachelor of Science in Tourism Management in
De La Salle Lipa, since he wants to travel around the world. He is intending to
enroll in a flying school after his present 4 years degree course. Ricky used to play football during his elementary
and high school days but got injured
when he was a freshman college thus he decided to quit the varsity team.
Catwalk Philippines was his first
time to join a modeling search. He was a shy type guy and he don’t want to be
seen by a crowd but he wanted to change himself and be a better one that’s why he
joined catwalk to boost his confidence. His journey in the catwalk is so happy, sometimes
tiring because they always travel all the way from Lipa, but he really enjoyed
it since he met new friends and new people. If he will be given a chance to
take back time, he will go back to their rehearsal days because it was full of fun.
Even Catwalk Philippines was his
first modeling competition that he had joined, he felt blessed to get the Most Photogenic Award and the
Best in Runway Award. His mentor, whom he calls mama Nickky Martinez encouraged
him to join since his potentials were seen by Mama Nickky whom he met last
2016. It started when she would escort her sagalas for the Flores de Mayo in SM
MOA. He escorted for her sagalas for May 2017 and May 2018 sagalas. Mama Nickky
then asked him to be a model which he agreed and that starts it all.
Being part of the Catwalk Philippines
first batch is already the best experience he ever had. The best lesson for him
is that when you lose in a competition like this, don’t ever think that you
will not be a winner anymore. Just think that God is preparing something big
for you. Always think that it's not your time just be patient to wait until
your time will come. Thus after Catwalk, he will continue reaching out for his
dreams by continuing to attend go sees and train for something bigger like pageant.
To the people who support him
throughout the competition, he wanted to say thank you very much since he knows
that he couldn’t make it without them especially his mom, mama Nickky, his dad and his sister
as well as all the staffs of catwalk thank for the unforgettable experience.

Jr. as he will conquer the world of modeling and if he will join a pageant, he will surely make it great with
his height, looks and wit.
