Man of the Philippines Filipino Community of Taiwan 2018

Man of the Philippines Filipino Community of Taiwan 2018
The Filipino Community of Taiwan sent Victoriano C. Realino II, a 27 years old lad who came from Tacloban City.

He is currently a MS Geology student in National Central University, Taoyuan, Taiwan. He finished BS Civil Engineering in UP Diliman, but he also want to study geology, especially the field of landslides that he took up MS Geology to fulfill his interest.
Butch is into singing, travelling with friends, playing volleyball and hiking during his free time.
The Man of the Philippines is his first pageant. Prior to this, he joined a runway competition where he was awarded AFACE (Arts and Fashion A Charity Event) Ambassador of Goodwill, that his family, friends and AFACE family have been very supportive in this new journey of Butch. He was introduced to MoPh since the franchise holder is the organizer of AFACE (Arts and Fashion A Charity Event) Next Top Model, which was also the first runway competition that he joined. The event was held last March of this year and out of 30 candidates, he reached the Top 16 bracket and awarded AFACE Ambassador of Goodwill.  AFACE appointed him to represent the Filipino community of Taiwan for Man of the Philippines 2018. His main inspiration in joining Man of the Philippines are the people who really believe in him that he can finish this pageant with head high up. He promised to do his best in this pageant not only for himself, but also for the people who put their 100% trust on him.
The advocacy of Butch is to promote Filipino culture, skills, and talents to the global community through the arts, and at the same time, charity events. The field of arts is most of the time perceived to be less of that of the sciences. He believes this stigma should stop and see the importance of what arts can offer. When he arrived in Taiwan two years ago, he encountered Filipinos that are so passionate with modeling, photography, film-making, painting, sand animation, and more. Unfortunately, there are only few platforms where they can share and exhibit their talents. Last March, he joined a runway competition, AFACE Next Top Model 2018 in Taiwan where the skills of Filipino talents on runway modeling was showcased. Filipino designs and creations were also worn in that event, and there was also a paint exhibit on the sideline. The event was not only to expose and promote Filipino talents globally, but also to help other people in need. In fact, the proceeds of the event went to the Reception and Action Center (RAC) organization and to Franzes Zyriel Briso, who is diagnozed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia. Currently, he part of the AFACE organization and will be helping them with their future events with a cause.

He was raised in Tacloban City, Leyte. The city became very popular after Typhoon Yolanda struck the city and damaged the area with several casualties. In spite of this, Taclobanons showed the world how strong they can be when faced with challenges. Tacloban City is now on its way back to its glory days. For MOPh, he'll be representing the Filipino community of Taiwan. The place is culturally rich and diverse, with several OFWs in the country. Taiwan has a special place in his heart but what made it more special was the OFWs working there and their struggles and stories just to help their families in the Philippines.
His best experience so far was the Fashion Gala which was held at Chateau Royale, Batangas just last week. This was his first event related to MOPh and what made it more memorable was the fact that he was able to bond with the organizers, staff, co-candidates, and the people behind MOPh.             According to Butch, MOPh is not just an ordinary competition, it is a family. He  expects to be more professional after MOPh. He also believe that he can make lifetime friends here in Man of the Philippines.

Butch would like to send his gratitude to my AFACE family who has been very supportive with him in this journey. He is so grateful to  his friends, relatives, and family, for being always there beside him and at the same time to the people who don't know him personally, but still being very supportive and he is doing his best for the pageant for the people who believes in him.
